Financial services — selective, not blanket
DIFC, ADGM, and the Riyadh financial district each occupy distinct positions. Allocators do well to pick which centre fits their thesis — fund management, private credit, wealth, fintech — and avoid trying to participate everywhere.

- What is the regulator's three-year direction, and is this allocation aligned with it?
- Who is the natural domestic co-investor, and does the structure invite them in?
- Where will liquidity come from if conditions change?
- Is the operating expertise we bring genuinely needed, or are we capital tourists?

The next regional cycle will reward investors who treat the GCC as several distinct markets rather than a single block. Pricing power, talent availability, and policy direction differ materially from city to city. Structured access, disciplined counterparty selection, and patient capital build the partnerships that outlast the cycle.
